This story is based on the testimonial the property gave Exceed HMS. Exceed does not publish revenue, occupancy or other performance figures for any client without written consent, so none appear here.

The Challenge

Bookings arriving from every direction, and not always agreeing with each other

Goa is India's most OTA-driven leisure market. A luxury resort there sells the same inventory through MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Booking.com, Agoda, its own website and a travel-agent network, and the peak season from October to March leaves no room for a mismatch between what the OTAs think is available and what the front desk actually has.

In the resort's own words, the problem before Exceed was "booking issues": the familiar pattern of availability and rates drifting out of step across channels, with the front desk discovering the difference only when a guest arrived. For a luxury property, every such moment is a reputational cost as well as an operational one.

What Exceed Put in Place

One inventory, pushed everywhere, pulled back into one PMS

The resort moved to Exceed's cloud PMS with the channel manager integrated rather than bolted on. Rooms, rates and restrictions are set once inside the PMS and pushed to every connected OTA in real time; every booking that lands on any channel flows straight back into the same reservation grid the front desk works from. There is no separate extranet to reconcile and no nightly export.

Seasonal rate calendars for the Goa peak, shoulder and monsoon periods are maintained in the PMS and distributed by the channel manager, so a rate change on the busiest weekend of December reaches all channels together. The property's own booking engine sells from the same live inventory, giving direct guests the same certainty as OTA guests.

Exceed HMS has been a game-changer for our hotel operations. The channel manager integration resolved all our booking issues seamlessly. The support team is incredibly responsive, and the pricing is very competitive. Highly recommend it to anyone in the hospitality industry!

The Regalia Luxury Resort, Goa
The Outcome

Booking issues resolved, and a support team that answers

The resort describes the integration as having "resolved all our booking issues seamlessly", and singles out two further things: the responsiveness of the support team and the competitiveness of the pricing. Both matter more in Goa than almost anywhere else, because problems arrive at 11 p.m. on a Saturday in season, and because leisure margins are watched closely.

Exceed does not publish revenue, occupancy or channel-mix figures for any client without written consent, so the outcome here is stated as the property stated it. What can be said in general is that a resort whose OTA inventory is synchronised from the PMS stops paying for the same room twice, in overbooking compensation and in lost trust.
